Join Us to See Preservation in Action!

For the past 24 months, Fallingwater has been undergoing a major preservation initiative, World Heritage Preserved, an extensive effort to waterproof Fallingwater’s stonework, flat roofs and flagstone terraces, conserve the house’s steel window and door frames, and repair deteriorated areas of its concrete walls. And for three weeks, starting March 15, the public can experience firsthand what it takes to preserve Fallingwater’s innovative architecture and complex building systems during special Preservation-In-Action Tours, available for a limited time, through April 6, 2025.

Through two customized tour experiences, Preservation-in-Action Guided Tour and Preservation-in-Action In-Depth Tour, visitors can witness preservation in progress as experts complete a myriad of activities. These tours will provide visitors with guided experiences that explain the various aspects of the preservation work. For an immersive 90-minute experience, the In-Depth Tour will offer behind-the-scenes access to our preservation efforts where visitors can closely observe the work of our specialized contractors and Fallingwater’s maintenance staff.

Reserve your tour today before this unique opportunity sells out! These tours are offered at various times between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays—except Wednesdays—and weekends.

Regular Season Tours Begin in April

A 2024 visitor shared, "For me, architecture is the pinnacle of artistic expression, so to visit Fallingwater was nirvana. Nature is my touchstone and FLW’s genius for pulling you inside his expression and once inside, pulling you back out to nature…."

Fallingwater’s regular season tours, beginning April 7, offer a variety of tour experiences, where visitors can gain insights into Wright’s organic architecture and design philosophy, and discover the beauty of Fallingwater and its natural landscape. Visiting Fallingwater will "change the way you see the world!"
