Get Outdoors and Get on the Water in June
Are June’s sunny skies and longer days beckoning you outdoors? Spend time with friends and family on WPC-owned preserves and on local rivers and streams we’ve help restore.

Celebrate National Trails Day on June 4 or anytime by getting out on WPC’s 30 miles of trails where you can walk, hike, view wildlife and experience the serenity of nature. We own and manage more than 14,000 acres that are free to everyone to explore. Click on the icons on our 41 Places map to discover what each preserve offers. Also, find ADA-accessible trails at several preserves.

Want to help keep the trails free of debris and in good condition for you and other outdoor adventurers to use now and in the future? Volunteer for an upcoming trail maintenance day.

June is National Rivers Month. Local rivers and streams are calling everyone who loves to canoe, kayak or fish. Novice, intermediate and expert paddlers alike can use 87 WPC-funded canoe access sites that help improve river accessibility in our region, thanks to the generosity of longtime WPC members and outdoor enthusiasts Roy Weil and Mary Shaw.

Our interactive map highlights some canoe and kayak trips and provides details on some WPC-funded put-in and take-out sites. Grab your paddle and get on the water!
