Fallingwater Fireside Special Events: Sept. 9 & Oct. 7 |
|
Pull up a chair for engaging conversations that advance ideas around art, architecture, design and nature during the 2025 Fallingwater Fireside, an exciting salon-style series in the stunning and intimate setting of the Living Room of Fallingwater. Join us and our special guests for two evenings of inspirational conversations.
On September 9, get to know Peter Bohlin, the founder and principal of Bohlin, Cywinski Jackson, an architectural firm that reimagined Fallingwater’s historic barn meeting/event space and High Meadow. For both projects, Bohlin’s commitment to resiliency and sustainability guided his design work, along with a strong interest in how architecture can elevate the experience of our surroundings. He will discuss his design philosophy and inspirations that guided his work at Fallingwater.
Pittsburgh will soon cut the ribbon on a new international airport! Come meet its concept architect, Luis Vidal, founder and president of luis vidal + architects, a Madrid-based international architecture practice, on October 7. He has designed more than 200 projects, including more than 30 airport projects. For the Pittsburgh terminal, his design focuses on the integration of nature, technology and community, reflecting the region’s unique identity and spirit of innovation. During Vidal's Fireside conversation on October 7, he'll discuss this vision for Pittsburgh and the ideals and values that guide his practice.
Hurry! Space is limited to 16 guests per session, and tickets are $285 a person per session. In addition to hearing first-hand accounts, asking questions and engaging with Bohlin and Vidal, attendees at this special event will enjoy a complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, which will be served in the Living Room as the sun sets. |
