Help Nature Thrive During Earth Month, All Year |
During April, we recognize Earth Day, Arbor Day and Volunteer Appreciation Month. At the heart of all of this is you, our members and volunteers. You are an important part of the year-round work to green communities and conserve our region’s wildlife, water, plants and ecosystems! Meet a few of our more than 7,000 dedicated volunteers who help us do this work.
Finding inspiration is easy! You, your family and friends can help nature thrive right in our backyard through volunteering. Invite a friend to join you to plant trees that help manage stormwater and provide wildlife habitat, or plant or steward a community flower garden. Care for preserves by maintaining trails or pulling invasive plants. Or use your gardening or speaking skills to volunteer at Fallingwater.
View free webinars on planting gardens and trees, caring for wildlife and much more. Click the button below to learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities. And share this eNewsletter with someone who wants to be part of this important movement!
As we observe Earth Month, we reflect on the challenges facing nature. In this recent issue of Conserve Magazine, learn about our efforts to address the effects of climate change in our region and how you can help.
Thank you for all you do to make Western Pennsylvania a wonderful place to work and live, during Earth Month and all year long. |

See “Sacred Spaces” at Fallingwater |
The “Sacred Spaces: Frank Lloyd Wright and Andrew Pielage” exhibition features photographs taken by Andrew Pielage over his decade-long project to document Wright’s work. On display in Fallingwater’s Speyer Gallery through June 10, it juxtaposes traditional places of worship with iconic Wright buildings, allowing for comparison between reverence for a higher power and awe of our natural surroundings. Admission is included with Fallingwater tours. Or, take an on-site photography workshop with Andrew Pielage. |
