Help Forge Fallingwater’s Future
Donate today to unlock a $200,000 challenge grant.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece in the woods of rural southwestern Pennsylvania has inspired the world for 85 years. Now, we’re at a critical moment in Fallingwater’s history. Many of its major building systems need urgent attention so that the house can continue inspiring generations of dreamers, artists, architects and designers.

To address these major needs, we launched the World Heritage Preserved: Forge the Future of Fallingwater campaign in late 2019, and are just over $300,000 away from our $5.4 million goal. This week we received an amazing offer – a 2:1 matching challenge grant from a generous individual. If you and others respond with gifts totaling $100,000, we will unlock this wonderful $200,000 opportunity.

When Fallingwater was honored with an inscription to the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2019, we pledged to preserve Fallingwater at the highest standard possible. To uphold that, we must undertake the most comprehensive restoration effort at Fallingwater since the early 2000s.

Over the next three years, we will address these most urgent preservation needs:

  • replace the waterproofing membranes on the flat roofs and terraces,
  • repoint and grout the stonework to prevent water infiltration,
  • conserve the steel window and door frames,
  • repair degraded reinforced concrete.

With your help, we’re preserving more than a building. We’re preserving a work of art – an architectural masterpiece. Your gift will maintain the integrity of this World Heritage Site for the next generation to experience one of the world’s greatest examples of art in nature.

Our Cam is Now Live!
If you can’t make it to Fallingwater or just want to see the waters of Bear Run flowing or frozen over the falls, check out the Fallingwater Cam. We recently made a few "tech" tweaks and now you can view Fallingwater in real time!

The camera doesn’t have a night-vision feature so, during the winter months, the best time to view is between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., EST, before darkness fills the forest in southwestern Pennsylvania.
