Join Us Aug. 12 for the Fallingwater Soirée!

Tickets are now available for the Fallingwater Soirée! You’re invited to immerse in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater as it comes to life at dusk during a special evening fundraising event, the Fallingwater Soirée, on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, from 6-9 p.m.

The Soirée features the best of food, music and architecture. Attendees will enjoy fine wine and spirits by Lo Bar Cocktails, and dine on delicious cuisine curated by Chef Kate Romane of Black Radish Kitchen. Some of the best chefs and restaurants in Pittsburgh, including AmBoy Urban Collective, Soju and 2023 James Beard Award nominee Nik Forsberg of Fet Fisk, will feature fresh, local food for this special event.

Attendees will also experience self-guided tours and leisurely moments in the house. An all-star line-up of live music presented by MCG Jazz will fill the house and forested landscape throughout the evening.

Tickets are $300 for non-members and $250 for members. Members are asked to call Fallingwater Visitor Services at 724-329-8501 to purchase their specially priced tickets. Nonmembers can purchase tickets online at Fallingwater.org/Soiree.

Proceeds from the Fallingwater Soirée support the ongoing preservation of Fallingwater. This event is generously sponsored by Huntington Bank.

Spend an Evening in the Living Room on Sept 14

The Kaufmanns hosted Albert Einstein and Frida Kahlo, among many others, in the Fallingwater living room for discussions that advanced ideas around architecture, art, design and nature. Through a new three-event, salon-style series, called Fallingwater Fireside, you can carry on the Kaufmann tradition and join intimate, in-person conversations in the living room. On Sept 14, meet Grammy Award-winning Cellist Mike Block, who will share how Frank Lloyd Wright inspired his music and composing philosophy. Join us for great music, engaging discussion and delicious fare!

You’ll also see photos of work activities and get insights into various aspects of the projects, including perspectives from the talented people doing the work.

Fallingwater is the “Most Loved” U.S. Building

Buildworld, a U.K. website, recently confirmed (what we sort of already knew): Fallingwater is the “most loved” building in the U.S.! Buildworld’s recent analysis of the “most loved” buildings in the world showed more than 65% of people shared positive tweets and high praise for Fallingwater’s design and architecture. This social acknowledgment of Fallingwater’s genius, beauty and importance is so appreciated. We’re pleased that Fallingwater, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, continues to inspire adoration! Experience the love, too!

Fallingwater Museum Store: Exclusive Textiles

They’re back! In the summer of 2019, we launched our first limited-edition textile, named Ffenestr, created by London-based weaver Eleanor Pritchard. In the fall of 2020, we launched our second exclusive textile by Pritchard, named Carreg. Both were the result of Prichard’s visit to Fallingwater, where she drew inspiration from elements of the house. The textiles garnered much attention from visitors and collectors from around the world! We are pleased to announce that both Ffenestr and Carreg are available again for purchase only through the Fallingwater Museum Store.
